Carl asked a good question, and I thought I’d post the answer here for everyone’s benefit:

I included one example in the first source.  But since isn’t a research paper, i thouldn’t have to go into further detail than just providing one example, right?

Yes, no more than one example…you just don’t have space.  But when I ask for analysis, I don’t just mean an example….I mean the basic content should reflect your thoughtful analysis of the entire chapter.  It needs to evaluate the argument offered by the author, and analyze the supporting evidence.  For example, if he or she is just offering personal stories, say so, because that’s very different from a systematic research study that objectively measures attitudes or instances of conflict, right?  How does the author make their argument?  And how do they support it? Don’t just say what they claim to do….explain how they do it, and whether they do it well….

Hope that helps,
s.
