Hey folks,

I’m adjusting the schedule slightly….it was very nice to take our first three presentations slower, but from now on it’s going to be very tight, so please be ready to GO at your assigned time.  And PRACTICE your talk so you can finish within the assigned time. I have moved three teams to a later date on Mon 12/7, the last day of class, so please check below…. See p.s. below
s.

Mon 11/30    * Project Presentations *
12:05   Marketing Gender (Bryan, Jefferson & Lyndsay)
12:25   Engineering at SJSU (Vy & Carlos)
12:45  Video team (Michaela, Susana, Finesse)

Wed 12/2    * Project Presentations *
12:05   Toys I: (Taylor, Lura, Fatin)
12:23   Toys & Toy Play: (Kelsey, Kayla, Gabriela & Alex)
12:45   Video Game Users I (Nicolette, Cindy & Emily)
1:02    Video Game Design II (Raymond & Candice)

Mon 12/7 * Presentations

12:05  Tech & Society (Denise, Alan & Ken)
12:23  Product Design II (Ashley, Amanda & Tai)
12:41  GenderTech (Victor, Mustafa, Rafael & Rupinder)

p.s. I will NOT change the schedule again for anyone.  I only switched the two groups because of time issues, and they had no choice.   All groups have to go as scheduled.  Have your members practice individually (2-3 mins each?), and keep the Powerpoints simple.

It’s all right to present unfinished work – just present it as “in process”, offer your hypothesis, and take the opportunity to ask the class for feedback.

Post-class notes

Thank you to our first presenters for some excellent work, and for setting a high standard for us to follow. Please remember that your attendance for your peers’ presentations is just as (more?) important than regular class – all presentations are exam material, so be sure to get their handouts and take your own notes. Their Powerpoints are linked in the entry below this…

Also for future presenters:

  • Bring your presentation on a flash drive ten minutes before class so we can transfer it to the computer.  Be sure to save MSWord or Powerpoint work in the older format (“Save As”).  Please ask if you’ll be using any other software programs.
  • Bring a complete copy of your presentation for me, and an outline/handout for the class.  Or you can email your handout to me by 8am that day, and I’ll make copies.

Don’t forget – Web Tutorial starts here
